I started Devgurux because I saw a massive gap: US small businesses — restaurants, law firms, dental offices, real estate agents, and contractors — either had no website at all, or had one that was slow, outdated, and invisible on Google.

The Pivot
I started my academic journey in medicine — a world of precision and care. But I soon discovered a parallel passion: building things on the web. I was fascinated by how a few lines of code could create something tangible, something that people could interact with and rely on.
I made the difficult decision to change course. I enrolled in the IT program at the University of Sialkot and committed myself to mastering web design and development. It wasn’t easy — I was starting from zero while others had years of experience. But I dedicated myself to learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and WordPress — building over 30 sample projects to sharpen my skills.

The Grind
After completing my IT program, I launched my freelance career. But I quickly realised that getting clients was harder than building websites. I built a portfolio of 30+ sample projects to showcase my abilities. Slowly, I started landing orders — first through freelancing platforms, then through word‑of‑mouth referrals.
I faced the same challenges many freelancers face — inconsistent work, difficult clients, and the constant pressure to find the next project. But I never gave up. I kept learning, kept building, and kept pushing forward. I specialized in small business websites because I saw that this segment was underserved and needed a partner who understood their unique constraints.
The Turning Point
The turning point came when I decided to stop depending on freelancing platforms and build my own website to rank on Google. I invested heavily in SEO and content strategy, and within months, I started generating my own leads. That’s when I realized the power of a search‑optimized website — not just for my clients, but for my own business.
Today, I work consistently with clients from Calgary to New York, Hamburg, and beyond. I’ve delivered over 100 projects across 7+ countries, with a strong focus on the US small business market. I continue to build systems that help businesses grow — whether it’s a custom website, a e-commerce store, or a full redesign.
